I have been seeing math activities on the web with fish crackers that I have been dying to try. Awhile ago "A" had a blast using M&Ms for math so I knew this would be a hit. First I downloaded the a graph from
kidscount1234. It's always interesting how even though you work on a skill some of them just come easier than others. "A" really needed help with the graph but by the end I think he was feeling more confident. Now comes for the fun part. Over at
Relentlessly Fun, Deceptively Educational she made a fun "Go Fishing" math worksheet. After putting fish crackers on a blue construction paper pond take your fishing rod (pretzel rod and peanut butter) and then go fishing. A tip that I learned make the pile of fish reasonable. I ended up having over 40 crackers and that got to be a little much with not only the graphing but the addition/subtraction. Twenty or less is a better amount crackers. I would like to say that "A" supposedly HATES peanut butter but surprisingly no complaints as he ate snack...hmmmm interesting!
